- being american i grew up with all sorts of food, and thought i knew and loved food. about 5 and a half years ago i moved to the uk and the world of food officially opened up. I now love food more than ever, and know which american foods i really appreciate (baked goods) and which i think are a wste of time ( prepackaged junk). i am a little bit of a food snob these days, but nothing major. i definately believe cooking from scratch stands out over cooking from boxes and believe that organic is much healthier
